Topsham is a gorgeous, sleepy, quaint town about four miles from Exeter city in Devon, England. Situated on the River Exe, the town looks out over the river to the beautiful Kenn Valley.

Topsham started as a Celtic settlement then became the port of the Roman city of Isca Dumnoniorum (now Exeter) in the first century, and continued to serve it until the Roman occupation of southern Britain ended in about 400 AD. From the 7th century the settlement grew into a considerable village under the rule of the Saxons.

Topsham is nestled in beautiful Devon countryside, dotted with towns and villages, so there is always a fair, country show or attraction to entertain visitors.
